What is Depression?
Major depression is a treatable medical condition marked by persistent low mood, reduced interest in activities, changes in sleep or appetite, concentration problems, and impaired functioning. At Evolve, we assess the full clinical picture and match the right treatments, medication, psychotherapy, neuromodulation (TMS), or Spravato to your needs.

03

evidence-based selection: medication, psychotherapy, TMS or Spravato when appropriate.
04

formal risk screening, side-effect checks and early follow-up for rapid response.
05
Follow Up
written maintenance plan, relapse prevention, and scheduled check-ins.

Depression Care Options
Depression is treatable. We build a physician-led plan with meds, therapy, and clinic options.
- Medication Management - Thoughtful selection and careful dose titration with scheduled follow-ups to minimize side effects and track progress.
- TMS - Non-invasive, clinic-based neuromodulation for patients with inadequate response to medications; accelerated protocols available for faster relief.
- Spravato (esketamine) - REMS-supervised, in-clinic option for certain treatment-resistant cases, offered with close monitoring.

Cost & Insurance
We accept most major insurers and help with the pre authorization process. Typical scenarios:
- Insured patient (with coverage): Initial psychiatric evaluations are usually billed to insurance. Our billing team submits prior authorizations and provides an estimate of any copay or deductible before treatment.
- Self-pay or non-covered services: We offer transparent pricing and package rates for services such as TMS. Our billing team will provide a clear cost estimate and discuss payment options.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
What Patients Want to Know
What am I going to get?
A clinician-led 60–90 minute diagnostic evaluation, a clear written diagnosis and treatment plan, and scheduled follow-ups. If appropriate, we’ll include medication recommendations and referrals (therapy, TMS, Spravato) and coordinate with your other providers.
How much will it cost?
Costs depend on insurance and services. We accept many major insurers and offer self-pay options. Our billing team confirms benefits up front and provides an estimate of any copay or deductible before treatment. For services like TMS we offer transparent package pricing and written cost estimates.
How little of my time will it take?
The initial evaluation is 60–90 minutes. Follow-ups are typically 15–30 minutes (phone or in-person) depending on needs.
How little hassle will it be?
Very little - a short online request form (<60 seconds), scheduling that typically gets you seen within 1 week, and a staff team that handles referrals, prior authorizations and care coordination.
How little risk is involved?
A psychiatric evaluation is low risk. Any medication recommendations include a clear discussion of benefits, side effects and safety. We follow clinical safety protocols and maintain strict patient privacy.
What if I have other questions?
Bring or upload past records and a medication list; ask everything during the visit. If you have questions beforehand, call (203) 504-9758 or use the form and our team will respond within one business day.
